Are Now Observin
(Oct. 26 thru Nov. 1) To buijd a pation, a nation must first build its youth. The United States of America has long recognized this fact and with such an understanding has fostered and encouraged the founding of such groups as the Girl Scouts of America. They are an old and highly esteemed class of girls and in Sullivan we know them to be the best the city has. In their brief existence of possibly a score years here, they have worked diligently on many worthwhile community projects and have graduated some of our most admired young women. It is with this thought of appreciation that the merchants of our city present this tribute to the Girl Scout Troops of Sullivan at the outset of their 1948 observance of National girl Scout Week. , Yesterday the week's observance was initialed with troop attendance at the various Sullivan churches from which they also derive their sponsorship. The remainder of the week will be spent thus:
