GOSPEL of CHRIST MORE VITL QUESTIONS AND BIBLE ANSWERS
To whom should we pray? "Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father ..." (Eph. 5:20). "After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father ' which art in heaven . . ; " (Matt. 6:9). Can't we pray to any one else? "And whatsoever ye do in Word or deed, do all ; . . giving thanks to God and, the Fath
er . . ." (Col. 3:17). "Thou shalt have no other gods before me." (Ex. 20:5). "And it came to pass, as he spake these things, a certain worn- ' an of the company lifted up her voice, and said unto him (Jesus), 'Blessed is the womb that bare thee, and the paps which thou hast sucked.. But he said, Yea, rather blessed are . they that hear the word of God, and keep it." (Luke 11:27, 28). ' Through whom should we pray to God? "Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ." (Eph. 5:20). "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no ( man cometh' unto the Father, but by me." (John 14:6). . . How often should we pray? ' ". . . . Men ought always to pray, and not to 'faint." (Luke 18:1). What of repetitions in prayers? "But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they
shall be heard for their much speaking." (Matt. 6:7).. ' . !
How should we pray? "I will pray With the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also." (I Cor. 14:15). For what should we pray? . "I exhort therefore, that first of aJLl, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; for kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godli-
. ness and honesty." (I Tim. 2:1, 2). "Pray that ye enter not into temptation." (Luke 22:40). "... pray forvthem which despitcfully use you, and persecute you." (Matt. 5:44). "Confess your faults one to another, and pray for one another, that ye may be healed.". (James 5:16). "And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses." (Mark 11:25). Se Luke 11:2-4. Whose prayers will God hear? "Now we know that God heareth not sinners: , but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth." (John 9:31). "For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil." (I Pet. 3:12). ( Are your prayers "effectual? Are you a worshipper of God? Are you doing His will? The Bible answers that, too.

His shoulder is to the wheel, and from his mighty hands there flows that great production line of quality goods ?t moderate cost for which this nation is renow ned. H's name is LABOR, his fame hard-earned, and his recognition on this day is universal. His power is fn the land wherein he lives, and h!s faith is in the Lord Almighty, by whose grace he lives and p, pers. With his fellowmen, they . "beat their sword.-. 'ntf plowshares" and are today reconverting a nation to re by i Id a world. While he toils with hands not always free of sin lie beckons a wicked world to join him in his faith renewal ... "I know vhum I have believed, and am persuaded that He is able to keep ti nt which I've committed unto Him against that day." As we go into another Labor Day observance let's remember the undividedness of its members ... the whole cf the American people as a family of laborers. In such a united spirit have the union thurch services at the City Park been planned. We invite you to attend and participate in a united worship cf God's children. This is the concluding service of the arnual summer outdoor services.
