North Court Street is going to be changed a great deal when it is
finished. The outside of the large
place is being covered with brick
siding.
This recalls an incident that happened last Halloween. Some boys were walking home from a
weiner roast at the city park, and ' had just came to the corner of
Court and Johnson streets. As they started across the street a blat from a shot-gun was heard, and buckshot splattered into the trees and shrubs nearby. One boy told us that he never stopped Tunning until he was home in bed and he was so scared that his legs didn't want to stop there, j The funny part about the whole

SHELBURN LEGION AUXILIARY MEETS The Stewart-Norris Unit No. 197, American Legion Auxiliary, met Tuesday night, August 5. New officers for the coming year were elected as follows: President, Dorothy Kelboski; 1st vice, Ruth Bradbury; secretary-treasurer, Casie Thompson; chaplain, Eva Duckworth, and sergeant-at-arms, Trilby Gummere. Much interest and enthusiasm was shown by those attending and plans, were made and discussed for both social and business activities for the ' coming year. It was voted to change 'the meetings to Tuesday night of eash week instead of once a month. Each member is urged to attend the meeting - Tuesday light at 7 o'clock. ' I Members oi the unit and their families are invited to attend the fish fry and installation service to be held atShakamak Sunday, August 10th by the Post. Unit officers are also to be installed it this, time. Transportation will be furnished to those desiring to o. The, bus will leave the Legion Jail at 9 o'clock.
