Holmes Martin, head of the poultry department, announcr ed that those completing the course would qualify as agents for hatcheries operating under the National Poultry Improvement Plan. A general knowledge of the Poultry business to include both production and marketing phases will be covered in the course, with the training in flock selecting and pullorum testing to be given the ' second week. The enrollment is limited to 125 students and the course will be repeated in Indianapolis at the Purdue-Marrott Agricultural Center October 20 to 31. Preference at both schools will be given to Indiana residents although out of state students may enroll. A shedule of classes and an application blank may be obtained from the poultry department at Purdue University.

Copper sulphate, wh;eh is generally available and cheaper, can be substituted for cadmium chloride. However, Miss Martin warns, copper sulphate makes the fabric blue so check your color scheme fu-st. ' Both treatments withstand two or three washings. . A word, of "caution: both' cadmium chloride and copper sulphate are poisonous so do be careful in using them.' .
