LOVAL WOMEN'S CLASS HOLDS SOCIAL The Loyal Women's class of the 'Methodist church met for a "social meeting July 1. The meeting was opened by singing ''Near to the Heart of God." Devotions by Mrs. Pearl Carpenter. A business session, followed and a patriotic program was given. Refreshments were served. WOMEN'S SOCIETY MEET AT GRAYSVILLE The Women's Society of Chris tian Service of the Methodist churches of Turma"nA: Township will present a Kodachrome lec-. .ture with colored slides depicting the work of the society, at the Graysville school, Friday, July 11. Rt 8:00 p. m. Mrs. Irma Monk will ;explain the slides The Merom and Dodd Bridge churches are invited to share the program. All members are invited to; bring families and friends, and members who have been unable to attend regularly are especially invited. Music and other parts of the program will be in charge of the young people of the student work group. They will include Misses Joyce Murdock, Jean Godfrey. Pat Steele. Anna Lois Patton. Paul Wible, Phillio and Lowell Badger, Dale Cox and Cene Gibreath. 1 MARY IEAN KEYS WEDS JAMES JAMES The First Methoaist church was the scene of a' pretty summer wedding Thursday evening, July 3, at 4:30 o'clock when " Mary Jean Keys, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Keys of Sullivan, was united in marriage to James James, son of Mrs. Eva James of Sullivan. The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. R. M. Criswell in the presence of a large group of friends and relatives. The candlelight service was read before an altar of spring flowers and white lilies with white, tapers in candelabra furnishing the illumination. Preceding and during the cere

The maid of honor, Miss Clara Keys, sister of the bride,.wore pink two-piece dress with white accessories and carried an 'arm bouquet of white carnations.; . j William Clarkson of Terre Haute, close friend of the bride groom, was best man. Jesse Malson Jr. and William Taylor of Sullivan were ushers. i j Following the ceremony a; re.ception was held at the home of the bride's parents. The bride and bridegroom ;cut the beautiful three-tiered wedding cake topped with a miniature bride and groom. Mrs. Tony Bivona, sister of the bridegroom, and MrS. Ruth Curtis and friends - of the bride assisted at the reception. After the reception the couple left for a short honeymoon .trip to Michigan City, Ind. i The bride is a graduate of Sulr livan High School and is emiployed in the office of J.' S. Schroeder, abstracter. She is a member of the local chapter of Psi Iota Xi sorority. The groom is a graduate of Sullivan High School and is now attending Indiana State Teachers College.
