Sullivan Club Meetings FOR THIS WEEK
Village Homemakers, July 8th, Mrs. Floyd Nesty, 730 North Court Street.
The Birthday club, will hold a' picnic at Shakamak State Park, Thursday, July 11. Bring well-filled baskets and come. Mtjnbers are to meet at Watson's Store at 8:30. A bus will provide transportation.
The Hud Crowder W.R.C. will meet in regular session Wednesday, July 9, at 2 p. m. at the Woodman Hall.
The C.W.E. club will hold a covered dish dinner at the city park shelter house, Friday, July 11, at 12:00 noon.
The Women's Society of. Christian Service of the Methodist Church will meet Thursday afternoon in the' church parlor at 2:30. All ladies of the church are in-' vited. ' i
The Canteen wishes to extend thanks to MR. VAN WEY, who donated the fine chair for the reading room of the building. Also to all those who donated to the bake sale. I might add that the bake sale was a success and it proved that the kids are working toward the betterment of the organization.

Haute for the Fourth of July. We went to one of the foremost restaurants and ordered a glass of orange juice and a milk shake. We were thirsting heartily until the waitress brought the check. FLASH almost fell off his seat when he read it. It read: one "orange juice 35c, one shake 25c. FLASH suggested that we take the front door with us, because he thought we were helping pay for the joint.
GORDON KECK was the lucky winner of the beautiful cake that was given away at the bake sale. It was slightly battered by the time he received it but it was good. Keck was one of those who
was hard to sell a ticket to.

Fishermen Take to Air NIAGRA, Wis. (UP) Fishing guides will take to the air under a new plan inaugurated here by the Wisconsin Civil Air Control Northlands Chapter. The chapter obtained 16 of the best guides in the upper peninsula area to show WCAC fishermen where to go. The guides will fly with the fishermen-pilots to special spots where the big ones are available.
