W. A. HARRIMAN Secretary of Comment Says:

Keep Turning Your

Used Fats

III 'j&s

Used cooking fats have represented a substantial part of our total industrial fat supply. The more than 600 million pounds of used fats that American homemakers have saved and turned in since 1942 has been of vital importance. It is a record of which every woman who contributed may well be very proud. The United States still lacks adequate supplies of fats and oils. And we are particularly short of industrial fats. Many, if not most, of the things we all use and wear require industrial fats, or the products of industrial fats, such as soaps and glycerine, in their manufacture. So won't you keep up your good work and con-' tinue to save and turn in every possible pound of

used fat?,

Ferocious in his paint , feathers, and horns, weird in his ceremonial darice, the medicine man once played on the superstitions and fears of his victims to sell his snake oil, resurrection brew, and all-healing ointment. He more

often killed than cured. Such pa

gan quackery has yielded to science. Research . has come to the aid of medical practice and today diagnosis and treatment of disease are on a sound scientific basis. To benefit by the progress which the years have wrought, see your physician when ill. Place yourself in his care. We supplement his service by filling your prescriptions exactly as ordered.
