The bride was given in' marriage by her father. She wore a white : satin floor length gown and a finger tip veil of bridal illusion from a beaded crown. She carried a bridal bouquet of White roses ' centered with a detachable orchid corsage. Her only jewelry was a cameo necklace, a gift from the groom. Following the service a reception was held at Ann Tweedale House, college home of the bride. Both Mr. and Mrs. Schaffer will continue their college education at the beginning of the fall term. They are both Juniors at Purdue University. Mr. Shaffer was formerly of Sullivan County and graduated from New. LAUGHING LASSIES The Pleasantville Laughing Lassies 4-H club met June 12th at the Pleasantville Home Economics room. Three songs - were sung. Different plans were made about the picnic. SNAPPY SULLIYANITES The initiation ceremony of the Snappy Sullivanites 4-H Club was held June 12th. In an impressive candlelight ceremony one girl, Sarah Lee Downs, was initiated into the ; club. The president, Normalee Thomson, led the initiation. Betty Jo Blodgett, Erma Hughes and Zoe Coulson explained the slogan and motto. Sue Chowning acted as guide. In the main business session adult leader, Miss - Mona Stull, said that we should all exhibit
at the County 4-H Fair which is to be held August 7 to 9. She urged the members to invite their parents and friends to this climax of the 4-H club year. . The County Judging and Demonstrating contest was discussed and several girls volunteered to judge the different classes. The treasurer, Anna Mae Wilkey, gave a financial report.
