Basketball In June As All-Stars Tackle Kentucky INDIANAPOLIS, June 13 A lot of Kentuckians and Hoosiers who think basketball is fun even in June including 20 players, their coaches and some 11,000 fans were primed through for their annual Summer festival, the Kentucky-Indiana all-star basketball game. The contest, sixth in the reries, will be played tonight before a capacity crowd at the Indiana Fairgrounds Coliseum. The Hoosiers hold four victories and Kentucky one. Indiana won last year. The Indianapolis Star is sponsor of the series. The Kentucky team will be coached by Ed Dibblo and the Hoosiers by Glenn Curtis. Dr. Payne To Retire As Dean At Indiana U, BLOOMINGTON, Ind., June 13. The retirement of Dr. Fernandus Payne as dean of the graduate school and head of the department of zoology at Indiana University at the end of the current academic year, June 30, was announced yesterday by President Herman B Wells. I President Wells said Dean Payne, who is concluding 20 years' service in the two positions, will continue as a member of the I. U. faculty, teaching and doing research work. The president said retirement of Dean Payne, 66 years old, from administrative posts is in accordance with university retirement policies. Known widely as a zoologist,, Dr. Payne's 20 years as head of the graduate school has been marked by the. advancement of the school to a position' of eminence in postgraduate" training
