STARDUST HOME EC CLVB GIVES BRIDAL SHOWER The Stardust Home Economics club gave a bridal - shower for IVt-s. Thomas Brummett on Wednesday afternoon, April 30. Many nice gifts were received. Those present were Mesdamss Lester May, Paul Howe, Harry Brummett, Tressa Houston, Nora Ridgeway, Wesley Eaton, Mary Hunt, Eva durtis, Charles Usrey, Carter Walters and son, Robert Houpt and Jo Ann, the honored guest,, Mrs. Thomas Brummett, and the hostess, Mrs. Hosea Hummell. Those sending gifts who were unable to attend were Mrs. Jack fox, "7 s. Margaret Alsman, Mrs. Have McCullough and Mrs. Dick Turpen. Mr. and Mrs. Brummett are moving to .Terre Haute where Mr. Brummett is attending .Indiana State Teachers College. ,

GOSPEL of CHRIST THE CHRISTIAN'S PLATFORM
There are "seven" planks in the Christian's platform, Beginning with the highesfplank in this platform, we note the following arrangements: -
One God Represents Unity of Worship
"One God and Father o all who, is sbove all,
and through all, and iw you all." (Eph. 4:6)
"Worship God' nUer. 22:9) "in spirit and in
truth" (Jno. 4:24). ' .. . '
One Lord Represents Unity of Authority "One Lord, one faith, one baptism" (Eph. 4:5). "But to us there is. but , . . one Lord Jesus Christ". (I Cor.: 8:6) AU authority is given to this cne Lord (Mt. 28:18-20). Everything in religion MUST BE DONE BY HIS AUTHORITY (Col. 3:17). v; - ' One Body Represents Unity of Organization
"There is one body?' (Eph. 4:4). This means
there is one church. Just "ONE," and only' "ONE," that is right (Col. 1:18; Eph. 1:22-23). ' One Spirit Represents Unity of Life "There is one body, and one spirit" (Eph. 4:4). Christ's GOSPEL is the "message of eternal life," and "the, power of God unto salvation" (Jno. 6:68; Rom. 1:16). The Holy Spirit guided the apostles of Jesus to give us these words of eternal life (Jno. 14:26; 16:13). One Faith Represents Unity of Practice "One Lord, ONE FAITH, one baptism" (Eph. 4:5). Religious creeds, disciplines, confessions and manuals written by man, do not constitute the one faith. If all these are like the "one

faith" we don't need them: if they are different from the "one faith" we don't want them. - - One Baptism Represents Unity of Obedience
"One Lord, one faith, one BAPTISM" (Eph. 4:5). Some think they have been baptized by
having water sprinkled or poured unon their
heads. This is religious error. The Holy Spirit
says: "BURIED WITH HIM (Jesus) IN BAP
TISM" (Col. 2:12). A man is not buried by hav-
1 ing a little water sprinkled or poured upon his
head. Sprinkling or pouring is not the one baptism. We are baptized into Christ. Just, read this if you don't believe it. "For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ" (Gal. 3:27). We cannot be saved without the blood of Christ (I Pet. 1:18-19). But the blood of Christ is in .His body, the church. Therefore, we cannot be saved without "the ONE BAPTISM because'it puts' us into the . body of Christ where the blood is. c ' One Hope Represents Unity of Happiness , "There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in ONE HOPE of your ' calling" (EpH, 4:4). "Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the spirit, that they may 'REST' from their, labors; and their works do follow them" (Rev. 14:13). Conclusion "One God who is the Father of the one Lord,
who is the head of the one body, which was
animated by the one Spirit, which is governed by the one faith, which was entered by the one baptism, and which, if faithful, will bring us into the one hope."
