OBITUARY Mr. C. E.- (Ed) Stewart was born September 25, 1873 and passed away April 24, 1947 in Augusta, Michigan, at the -home of his 'son, -Wilbur, following a stroke a week before, at the age of 73 years and 7 months.) He was the son of David' James and Malissa Correll Stewart, who preceded him in death, also three sisters, Lulu, Bessie Lovelace, Katherine Kinney. ' .-' . He was married to Lura Belle Huff on February 7, 1897, and to this union ! eleven children were born, six' daughters, Mrs. Ruby Weir of Carlisle, Indiana, Mrs. Helen Woodard of Robinson, Illinois,' Mrs. Sylvia Hunt of near Sullivan, Mrs. .Gladys Reynolds of Battle Creek, Michigan, Mrs. Bernetta Whitman of Augusta, Michigan, Mrs. Lucille Rack of Cincinnati, Ohio, and five sons, Wilbur and James of Augusta, Michigan, Paul and Hubert of
Cincinnati, Ohio, Carroll of Otterbein, Indiana. ' Also surviving are twenty-six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Sadie Alverson of Decatur, Illinois; one brother, David E. Stewart of Anderson, Indiana. i .Funeral services were conducted at the Railsback funeral home, Sunday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock
and was in charge of Rev. Lynn Johnson of Georgetown, Illinois, a very close friend of the family,
who officiated at their mother's funeral almost sixteen years ago, and married four of the daughters, also one son. He was assisted by Rev. Sutch of Carlisle. Verne Steele, Helen Wilson, Manford Church, Bruce Coppage were in charge of the song service with Mrs. Bruce Coppage at the organ. Pallbearers were Milburn Weir, . Max Weir, Loren Woodard,
Jack Woodard, Bob Whitman and ,Cpl. Laverne Reynolds. I Flowerbeajsrs ' were .Nancy Carol Stewart, Doris Ann Woodard, Carla Ann ,Hunt, Wanda Leah Wildin, Monty Weir, Betty Jean Littler. j Burial was in the Merom cemetery. : CARD OF THANKS ! Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Payne and son and Mrs. Payne's mother of Texas are .visiting Mr. and Mrs. Alva Payne. Earl Payne, ' who has been spending the winter in California, is visiting his parents here. Norma Morin who attends Indiana State .Teachers College at Terre Haute, was home over the week-end. Mr. and Mrs. Donell D. Sluder of Salt Lake City, Utah, will spend two weeks here with relatives in June. Don is employed with the Tracy-Collins Trust
