AND COUNCIL 3MEMBERS ENJOY COOK-OUT Miss Kermit Cochran, Girl Scout Executive from Terre Haute met with Sullivan leaders and council members Monday at
the city park. She gave demonstrations on fire building, baking bread twjsts and cooking ona pot meal over open fire.
I The leaders plan to have more cook -outs with their troops. I Miss Cochran complimented Sullivan on its very fine city park, and suggested successful day camp might be held there ! for Girl Scouts of Sullivan.

Director of the State Library, stated that the Law which represents five years of planning, is a single strong law for the development of public library service in the state. It will promote more adequate library income, a stronger board, and greater bonding power, especially for building construction. Attention was called to the necessity of supporting the Federal Demonstration Bill which 'S

vice for rural citizens by showing what real service can be. Details of the Melcher Award project and of the Citation of Trustees were presented. Ross Teckemeyer, Executive Secretary of the Indiana Public Employees' Retirement Fund, pointed out the changes made by the- last Legislature to improve the state retirement law.
