Of course no one wants to deny a boy the thrill of kite flying.
Sure, let him run and fly to his heart's content, but be sure he's doing it with the hazards eliminated. Just flying a kite out in the open with plain, ordinary string is fine. But warn him about the dangerous things that a boy may thoughtlessly do. Point.put the necessary precautions as listed below; . DON'T S FOR KITE FLYING 0 Do not fly a kite where the string or kite can come in contact with any kind of electric wires. Fly kites in open places away from electric wires. 0 Do not use wire, tinsel cord, or even wet string os kite string, because it can conduct electricity. Such a kite string may sag or fall on a high voltage wira and thus conduct the electricity to the child. Q Do not fly kites on traveled streets or highways. There is danger of running across a street in the paih of moving vehicles. Q Do not fry to retrieve a kite entangled in a tree or in v electric wires. Climbing causes falling accidents. All . , of them are serious and many are fatal. 0 Do not make kites using wire or any metal. Such kites have caused trouble .when lodged in electric . wires. .' ' Talk these ,things over with your boy . . . explain the hazards. Don't scare him . . . just tell him in simple terms. ; .', ; ' ' There's youthful fascination about Jdte flying ... a boy '3 yery soul soa t up into the wind with his kite. It's a living adventure ... a thrilling tussle with the elements! Check on him now and then, to make sure everything's O.K. And Dad, if he wants you to help, go ahead you'll enjoy it, too!
