BARACA-PHILATHEA CLASS PARTY The Baraca-Philathea class of the Sullivan First Baptist Church met at the horn of Mary K. Baldwin last night ' for their monthly party. Several games were played 'throughout the evening. , . ' . Refreshments were served to the following members and guests: Alice Irvin, Ilena Buckley, Abbie . Faught, Jean Ann Young,. Rachel Faught, Rosalie Goodman, Mary Lou Hinkle, Mary Faught, Lula Baldwin, Bill Gadberry, Bob Gadberry, Allen Letterman, Jack Bucyley, Gene Volk, Virgil Baldwin and the hostess, Mary K. Baldwin.
FARM BUREAU MEMBERS Hospital And Surgery Insurance Members who have naid Farm Bureau dues for 1946 and 1947 "may JOIN NOW WITHOUT A MEDICAL EXAMINATION. ONLY DURING THE MONTH OF APRIL WILL THIS BE POSSIBLE. This is a co-operative plan which affords the Farm Bureau members assistance to meet the unexpected and heavy expenses that go with hospital care. GENEROUS HOSPITAL EXPENSE ALLOWANCE You must be hospitalized by A recognized physician and be in the hospital at least 18 hours. Each male member is insured for a daily benefit of $5.00. Each female member is insured for a daily benefit of $4.00. Each dependent is insured for a daily benefit of $4.00. (Dependents are unmarried children from 3 months to 18 years.) NO LIMIT FOR THE NUMBER OF TIMES YOU ARE HOSPITALIZED IN A YEAR. 30 days allowed for any one illness. Surgical benefits are paid in addition to the hospital benefits and covers any cutting operation performed by any recognized surgeon up to $150.00for surgery. The benefits paid on surgery very ne arly meets the actual cost of the surgery. ( The cost of this really wonderful insurance is very low and well within the reach of all of us. Eleven (11c) a day gives you this insurance for your entire family. Any number of children between the age of 3 months and 18 years. Annually $40.80 for the entire family, or $20.40 for 6 months or $10.20 quarterly. For each adult the cost is $14.40 annually, $7.20 semi-annually, and $3.60 quarterly.

WOMAN'S CLUB MEETS TUESDAY AT LIBRARY I Mjis. Joy Maple was hostess in the club room of the library for the regular meeting of the Woman'sClub Tuesday, April 8 with 22 members present. ; The- president, Mrs. Malcolm Campbell, announced the Couney Federation of Clubs convention would be held at the First Baptist Church in Hymera on Thursday, April 10. Mrs. . Paul Wible, program chairman for the coming year, discussed plans for the 50th year. ( Mrs. Ruth Brown gave the devotions using the topic "Grow in Grace" and closed with a prayer. The subject for the program was "Culture Through the Drama." Mrs. Lee Bays pointed out that playwriters of today share a common heritage through war experiences and the theatre has culture-hungry audiences wanting the highest qualities of the democracies which all leads to a national theatre. .
