After Sunday School ' and church Sunday a large group of neighbors and friends helped Rev. Guy Miller celebrate his 51st birthday with a covered dish dinner in the church basement. He received several nice gifts. Mi1, and Mrs. Lorcn Miller and children of New Castle, visited Rev,, and Mrs. Miller over the week-end. Misses Beulah Pipher, Gladys Zink and Helen Chance of Indianapolis, spent the week-end with home folks. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Henry of Belleville, Illinois, who have been visiting Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Gordon, were called home Saturday due to the sudden death of Mr. Henry's grandfather' at Centralia, Illinois. Hostesses we're Mrs. Beulah Crowder and Agnes Van Arsdall. The afternoon meeting opened with President Eva Thompson presiding. The song of the month was sung. Club creed and pledge to the flag were given. The lesson on Poultry and Garden was given by Blanche Devitt. The origin of St. Patrick's Day was given by Rhuey Tipton and Agnes Van ArsdalL Those present were Eva Thompson, Eunice Harding, Ada Freeze, Jeanette Callahan, Louise Mattison, Donna Soughers, Amanda Tennis, Blanche Devitt, Bertha Willey, 6pal Ruble, Rhuey Tipton, Mary Julian, Rowena Mathers, Marjorie Strawn and the hostesses, Beulah Crowder and Agnes Van Arsdall. SOCIETY CLASS PARTY The King's Daughters class of the First Baptist church met in the Men's classroom March 13th for their regular monthly party. The party was opened by the group singing and prayer. Devotions were in charge of Rosalie Goodman. A short business sesinn was held with the president, Mary Arnett presiding. A highlight of the evening's entertainment was a playlet "The Crooked Mouth Family." Several games were enjoyed by all. Refreshments were served by the hostesses, Mary Frances Allen and Mary Arnett. Those present were Sara Lee Downs, Lola Keene, Ruth Tarwatir, Joan Wheaton, Norma Scully, Virginia Frakes, Barbara Scott, Jeanette Monk, Jean Stewart, Mary Arnett, Mary Frances Allen, Rosalie Goodman, the party director, Doris Scott, and one guest, Mrs. Allen.
