' I wish to announce that I am a candidate' on the DemocraticTicket for the office of the Mayor of the City of Sullivan, and I earnestly solicit your support at the Primary, May fij 1947. 1 was born in Sullivan and have lived here throughout my life. I am naturally interested in the welfare of all of the citizens of our good city. I worked in the coal mines in Sullivan County for several years but have been self-employed for the last eighteen years. . 1 I sincerely believe that, if elected Mayor, I can, by cooperative effort, make a better city. There must be special privileges to none but equal opportunities to all. When this is attained we shall all be proud of our city government. I pledge, if elected, my efforts for everything that is for the betterment of the city, by providing an honest and efficient administration. I believe in the plan of good government for the people and by the people.,
