GET-TOGETHER CLUB . ( -The Get-Together Club met i Wednesday, Dec. 18 at the home of Mrs. Dorothy Lowdermilk, vyith Mrs. Gladys .Huff as co- . hostess. A covered dish dinner was served at the noon hour. In the afternoon the program was Opened by. singing "Joy to the World" in unison. Roll call was answered by a Christmas verse and each told who their mystery pal was this year. During the business session, members drew fjbr. a mystery pal for the comin'g year. . A trio composed of Fern Brown, Helen Wilson and Vern Steele sang '"Silent Night." Several Christmas stories were read. At noon a delicious covered dish dinner was served, with turkey and all the trimmings. The business meeting was called to order by the president with all singing "The Star Spangled Banner." The pledge to the flag was given and club creed repeated in unison. Roll call was answered by "An Old Christmas Custom." It was voted to sew for the Red Cross the first Thursday of the month, also to buy a $5.00 Health Bond. Christmas baskets were donated for two needy families. A reading was given by Margaret Alsman. Barbara Colvin and Helen Simmers sang a Christmas song. The Lord's Prayer was repeated in unison, followed by an exchange of Christmas gifts. PEYROXET-BOYLL VOWS READ At 2 o'clock -Sunday afternoon, December 22nd, the Church of God at Shelburn was the scene of a simple wedding ceremony, uniting in marriage Miss Bernice Peyronet, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Cyprian Peyronet of Shelburn, and Jerel R. Boy 11, son of Mr. and Mrs. Grover Boyll of Terre Haute rural route 3. The double ring ceremony was performed by Rev. Hughes Moorehead, pastor of the church, before a small group of relatives and friends. The young couple were attended by Miss Rosalie Noel, close friend of the bride, and by Wilbur Boyll, cousin of the groom. James Noel and Lawrence Boyll acted as ushers. Both the bride and her bridesmaid wore street length white wool dresses with black accessories. The bride carried orchids and a white Bible, while Miss Noel wore a corsage of American Beauty roses. The mother of the bride and mother of the groom each wore corsages of pink roses. Immediately preceding thr ceremony, Mrs. Fred Gard played a lovely violin solo, accompanied at the piano by her sister, Mrs. Arlie Shroyer.
