Prisoners Get to Smoke

: COLUMBUS, 0. (UP) No lqnger will inmates of Ohio Penitentiary march directly from their breakfast to their jobs without a smoke. In recognition of general good conduct, Warden Frank E. Henderson has permitted smoking in the dining halls Svi ter breakfast.

ALBANY, N. Y. (UP) Kilroy, the mythical soldier whose name ws written in every spot the American army stopped, has gone commercial. The Lang Stamp Works, Inc., is manufacturing "Kilroy was here" stamps. Its advertising slogan is: "Don't write 'Kilroy was here.' Stamp it."

Stop-Watch Really Precise

CAMDEN, N. J. (UP) Now there is an electronic stop-watch that clocks one-millionth of a second. Developed during the war, the RCA time interval counter is being produced for civilian use, particularly in the fields of science and industry.
