Mr. and Mrs. Tom Wilson and Mrs. James Hickman were Sullivan visitors Wednesday. Mrs. F. M. Dukes and Mrs. E. A. Hammack attended the D.A.R. party Thursday evening at the home of Mrs Wallace Springer in Sullivan. Class Party. One of Dugger's social highlights for Wednesday evening, December 18, was the Christmas supper given for the members of Mrs. O. E. Chowning's Sunday School class. About six o'clock the members began, to. assemble in the basement of the Church of Christ, each, bringing a savory and tempting dish of food together with an intriguing Christmas package. . The basement, which had been artfully decorated .with a Christmas tree and other festive trimmings, fairly Sparkled with the Yuletide spirit. At 6:30 when the table had been spread with the bountiful feast, the members found their places and the next hour was spent in eating and exchanging bits of conversational news. After the delicious meall the members gathered around the sparkling Christmas tree where they sang carols and told legends that have been woven around the birth of the Christ Child. The sacred simplicity and the wholehearted co-operation of the entire group makes this event one thit goes deep to the heart of , each member to become as a pleasant memory. i To close tho informal program the gifts were taken from the tree and each person claimed one by completing the partial name or phrase which the package bore.
