FOX-MAHAN VOWS READ At 3:00 p. m. on Thanksgiving Day, Miss Bette Fox, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Glen Fox, of Farmersburg, became the bride of James E. Mahan, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Mahan, of Merom. The ceremony was performed by Dr. George C. Hitchcock before a small group of relatives and friends at the Presbyterian
The bride is a graduate of
Farmersburg High School and attended Indiana State Teachers College. The groom is a graduate of Merom High School and Indiana State Teachers College. They are making their home in Cincinnati, where Mr. Mahan is employed as an instructor in a Commercial College. HOGAN-DICKEY VOWS READ Rose Marie Hogan, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Hogan of Farmersburg, became the bride of Clifford Dickey, son of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Dickey of Farmersburg, Saturday at four o'clock at the Methodist Church. The double ring ceremony was performed by Rev. Perkins in the presence of relatives and friends. Ferns and pink and white mums and a seven-branch candelabra decorated the church. Preceding the ceremony a program of bridal airs was played on the organ by Mrs. Russell Kibler and Mr. Kibler sang "Always" and "O Promise Me." The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, was lovely in a white, satin wedding gown with finger tip veil arranged to a tiara of pearls. She wore a single strand of pearls and carried a bouquet- of white gardenias. The maid of honor, Miss Marjorie Huntworth, and bridesmaid, Mrs. Dortha Payne, wore pink gowns and carried bouquets of white mums. Attending the bridegroom as best man was John Hogan, brother of the bride. The ushers were Don Hogan, brother of the bride, and Vern Payne, uncle of the bride. Rita Joyne Payne, niece of the bride, carried a basket filled with sweetpeas and Thorton Perkins carried a white satin pillow holding the two rings.

denias. Immediately following the ceremony, a reception was given at the home of the bride's parents. The refreshment table held the tier wedding cake and punch bowl. The bridesmaids aided the bride in serving. Many beautiful gifts were received by the bride and groom. Mr. and Mrs. Dickey left on a short wedding trip. The bride's going away outfit was of blue

U. S. JOGS THEIR MEMORY
SPRINGFIELD, O. (UP) In an attempt to reduce automobile thefts, police started a campaign against drivers who leave vehicles unattended with keys in the ignition.
CHICAGO (UP) The regional United States immigration office . is rounding up 25 to 30 Mexicans in Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, North and South Dakota ' each week and returning them to Mexico by airplane. The Mexicans contracted to work in thiscountry during the war-time man-power shortage, but have "forgotten" that they must go home.

CHICAGO (UP) Circuit Court Judge Robert Jerome Dunne has allowed 11-month-old Cheryl Ann Baugham to be a participant in an alienation of affection suit her mother has filed against the child's grandmother. The suit charges the grandmother with causing the child's father to leave his wife and two children.
