Indiana farmers have taken an cctive interest in the first four district federal net income tax schools conducted during - the past week by Anson S. Thomas, tax and legislative director of the Indiana Farm Bureau, it was renortPd here today. Six more similar schools have been sched-
uled in other parts of the state. After the regular business ses'sion two very interesting and inDates and places of the tax structive papers were given. The meetings at each place start at 10 o'clock in the morning and adjourn at 3 o'clock in the afternoon. - R. D. Needier of the Indiana Farm Bureau Cooperative Association's' tax denartment will assist with the j meetings at Albion, Delphi, .and I Marion. A representative of , the ( Federal Bureau of Internal Reyenue will take part in each ses1 sion. -' " During the past week district tax meetings were held at Lintori, Rushville,' Princeton, and Scottsburg. The purpose -of the meetings is to acquaint Indiana farmers with federal income tax regulations and to give instruction on filing returns, : Meetings of this type have been .held; by Mr. l nomas in previous years. D. A. R. MEETING The Nathan Hinkle Chapter of D. A. R. met Thursday afternoon at the home of Mrs. John Oldham for their November meeting. Mrs. Oldham gave a report pf the State Conference at Indianapolis which she, attended October 10th and 11th. 1 The hostesses, Mrs. Oldham, Mrs. E. A. Billman, Mrs. Billman and Mrs. Alice Gibony served re freshments at which time the society enjoyed a social hour. HOME EC CLUB MEETS The November meeting of the Prairie Home Makers Economics Club was held at the home of Mrs Edith Barker with the following program: SongSf "America lhe Beautiful," and "How Can I Lcave Thee". The song "How Can I Leave Thee" was sung in unison. Roll call was answered by giving the recipe for "my favorite Thanksgiving dish." The minutes of the last meeting were read and discussed. PARR-COLCLAZIER I VOWS READ I Mrs. James Welter of Greenfield, Indiana announces the marriage of her only sister, Lorraine Parr, to Leonard Colclazier at the First Presbyterian church at Sullivan on November 3. The marriage ceremony was sol-, emnized by Rev. Homer Weisbecker, pastor of the church. I The bride's sister, Virginia vvelter was matron of honor and Charles Colclazier, , brother of the groom, was best man. The bride wore a blue crepe dress with gold accessories and a corsage of pink rosebuds. Mrs. Welter wore a grey wool suit with black accessories and a corsage of pink rosebuds. Immediately after the ceremony a reception was held at the home of Mrs. Laura Lemmon. Guests attending the wedding were Mrs. Jake Colclazier and Mrs. Charles Colclazier of Greenfield, Indiana, Mrs. Chriss Vickrey, Floyd Motsinger, Gail Wilson, Laura Lemmon and Lee Lemmon. Mr. and Mrs. Colclazier left after the reception for their newly furnished apartment in Indianapolis, where they are both employed.
