Mic?. 6:8. ; Tr walk with (lod, we jnust walk hysnbly. No one remaining proud and Jielf-important has ever, or will ever, vVHik vi1h God. Matt. 23:12; Provevhs 2S:12. The proud walk in their own wav. 'There is a wav which .seemeth rjtr'it unto ;i nan, but the fnd thereof ire the ways f death." Proverbs 11:12. "'0 Lord, I know tint the way of raan is- net ;n hiniself : it is not ;n man that walketh to direct his steps," Jeremiah 10:23. . . 'To walk with God, we must be in agreement with God. 4Can two wilk together, except they be agreed," Amos .6 To walk with God, we must "walk by faith, not by sitrht," 2 Cor. 5:7. That faith is "faUh which WORKETH by eve," Gal "):fi. Faith cctr.es from the wnd of God. Romans 10:17. Hence, we craft walk bv the word. Noah walked with God, Gen. 6:9. "Thus d'd NoVt.s according to all that Grd commanded him, so did he." Gen. 6:22. Are y'Ou walking according to jRcd'.s wor? Accrding to His commniidments? Do you believe the gospel of Christ is God's power to save you? See Romans 1:16 'and Hebrews 11:6. Have you repented? See Luke 13:3 and Acts 17:30. Have you crnfessed Christ as God's son? .Romans 10:9-10; Matt. 10:32-33; Matt. 16:16 and Acts 8:37. Have you been . buried with your Lord in baptism? . Mark 16:16; Gal. 3:27; Col. 2:12. Ave ycu contintiinfir, then, to walk with God? 2 Cor. 15:38.
Many say, "You go yotir way, and I'H go mine, for we are all going to the pame place." Read Matt. 7:13, 14 and 21. Remember. Amos put the question: "Csn two walk together, except they be agreed?" We cannot say that we are walking with God unless we are living in agreement with His word. Is there anything unfair, about that? Doesn't God, who made us, have the r'ght to set Ihe standard by which we must live? . fch't it as fair for one as it is for another, and won't it accommodate us all, if we will only submit to it? Is God to be charged With being a bigot, or narrow-minded, or intolerant because He has given us His way the one way? Each of us has a watch," let us say. .Very likely our Matches will vary in telling the time. Yet we have one standardCentral Standard Time. If all our watches are at variance, one might be right, or all might be wrong, but it is evident that all could not be right. Is there anything unfair about having the standard? Could we 'net all correct cur watches 'according to it, if we were so disposed? We have a standard of weights. You ask a clerk for five pounds of potatoes.. He drops some in a sack and straightway hahds thorn to you. You say, "Preise Weigh them." He replies,' "Honestly ?nd sincerely, that's ; five pounds of potatoes in my opinion." Wruld you let it go at that? Hardly! You would probably reply, "I appreciate your opinion as such, but there!s somr scales: let's weigh these potatoes, and be sure," Why can't we be as sensible when the "commodity" Involved is the never-dying souls of men. We have the standard in ihe grs'uel ,of .Christ.-. Let us weigh ourselves m the balance, and if we ?re found wen ting, let us w'thout delay supply the want.
