The next meeting will be at the home of Mrs. Emma McCormick on December 12. Each member bring a gift for the box wtiich will be packed that day for children at the Riley Hospital. Mrs. M. A. Powell and son of Crown Point, Indiana spent last week with Mrs. Powell's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Wolfe. THE KNOWN DEATH TOLL from the terrific explosio 1 that wrecked this Greenville, S. C, laundry plant reached five with 27 of the 200 persons injured ho3;italiicd and in critical condition. Forty persons were said to have been in the plant when a gas explosion tipped the building apart and shattered windows throughout the city. 'Damage is estimated to run at least to $500,000.
