The jffi porta nee of water as a natural resource has been underlined recently by the
" program of the state to get at the facts about water how to conserve it, how to con i .. trol it to prevent floods and how to keep it pure ! Most citizens of Indiana are eager to cooperate with governmental agencies to help safeguard Indiana's water supply, and the Public Service Company of Indiana likewise takes every precaution to protect this valuable asset for the time being and
the years ahead.'. On an average day, the Company's two main generating plants at Dresser Station on the Wabash River, near Terre Haute, and ?t Edwardsport on the west fork of the 9 White River, use 220,000,000 gallons of water for cooling purposes in producing your dependable electric power. . y ' But unlike the small outmoded electric plants, the Company's system wastes none of the precious water it employs. Instead, i; cleanses it chemically and returns it to . the rivers after using it. - If the Department of Conservation, tlie Commission on Flood Control and Water Resources, the Stream Pollution Board or the U. S, Geological Survey appeal to you for cooperation, it will benefit not only yourself and your children but also the entire state iyoa will fully cooper?. te..
