Insect as well as animal motifs are used in the designing of new decorative and utilitarian jewelry for the coming season. Those shown in the above photographs were created by Harman, and come in the. form of costume watches which are fashionable now. At the left a gold spider holds, a watch which has an inverted dial to permit easy reading and makes a handsome accessory for a fall suit. Top right is a mosquito-borne timepiece, the mosquito flying above the watch. Shell-like earrings, each with a pearl center, are part of the ensemble. The snapping turtle pin, below, is amusingly contrived. The jeweled back opens to reveal a small watch. Round gold earrings complete this set. (International)

PAGE THREE 80-YEAR-OLD LADY'S RHEUMATIC PAINS GO! SHE PRAISES RHU-AID Recently an 80-year-old lady living near here stated that she almost suffered death with rheumatic pains in her whole right side. When she tried to walk she would simply flinch with agony and says she had become just a "bundle of nerves" due to her long period of suffering. She bought all kinds of medicines but nothing seemed to work on her until she got RHU-AID. She slates she was amazed at the results when she got this medicine. Now the rheumatic pains have gone from her entire right side. She can walk without suffering for the first time in years and says her nerves are "strong as steel". She feels like a new woman. RHU-AID is the new liquid formula containing three valuable medical ingredients. ' These Three Great Medicines, all blended into one go right to the very cause of rheumatic and neuritic aches and pains. Miserable people soon feel diferent all over. So don't go on suffering! AN EXPERT ON ATMOSPHERIC PHYSICS at Sorbonne University, Paris, France, Prof. Etienne Vassy, 37, is pictured with his wife in their laboratory where they recently announced that they had discovered a formula for turning night into day. It involves radio transmission of optical waves, directed at luminous strata in the sky. He says they ean capture enough light from the sky to read without lamps, drive without headlights and work without artificial illumination. Intervntiona)

Having sold our bakery, good will and friendly assistance to Fredrick H. Stein, formerly of Sullivan County, but recently of Indianapolis, a nephew of Mr. and Mrs. Claud Ford, allow us to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you who have joined us in making our business the success we have enjoyed since April 25, 1915. We wish to especially thank those many loyal customers whom we have had the pleasure of greeting almost daily at our bakery for 31 years, 5 months and 6 days. Our future is undetermined, however, we do not plan to leave Sullivan. We like Sullivan and Sullivan county and hope you do, too. Mr. Stein is not a stranger here, as his father and grandparents lived on a farm north of Cass for many years, known as the Doc Alumbaugh place. Mr. Stein is now operating at 6-8 East Washington Street, where he is. waiting to extend to you that same friendly greetring which, we think, was characterized under our management. b -' We and all of our former employes join in thanking you again and again from the bottom of our hearts for your kind cooperation.
Very truly
MR. AND MRS. TERRENCE V. P. LADSON
