ABOUT THOSE AFFIDAVITS Too many Indiana voters have the mistaken impression that casting a vote by affidavit in the May primary qualifies them as voters in the November general election. Everywhere in the state, party workers who are busy in registration work report they are finding voters who insist tney need not register for the reason "tney voted in the primary." Many of these, it is found, voted in the primary although not properly registered, taking advantage of the
provision in the election code which permits primary voting
uy signing an auiaavit, properly supported, that the applicant has all the legal qualifications of an elector. Such an affidavit does not constitute registration. Register now!

A Word o Appreciation . . and a S.Lstion, too !
We know how anxious you are to get your new Oldsmobile. And there's nothing we'd like better to do, right now, than to say to every Oldsmobile buyer: "Your car is here. Come get it!" But frankly, it just isn't possible to do that. There still aren't enough new Oldsmobiles to go around. Due to shortages in materials arid unavoidable limitations on production, the output of new cars still is behind schedule. And our allotments are far below the figures that we originally anticipated. We want to assure you, however, that everything possible is being done, both here and at the factory, to get your car in your hands promptly. - And we'd like to take this occasion . . to thank you sincerely for the patient and considerate way in which you have borne with us during this period of waiting. Meanwhile, we have an important suggestion: Don't neglect the car you drive today.
KEEP AMERICA'S HIGHWAYS SAFE DRIVE CAREFUUY
