KNIFE NEW CLUE IN HEIRENS CASE Investigators studied a possible new clue in the kidriap-killing of Suzanne Degnan as the state announced it was going ahead with plans to try William Heirens for that and the "lipstick" slaying of Frances Brown. Experts in the police crime detection laboratory examined a stained hunting knife found in the Degnan neighborhood a day or two after the 6-year-old kirl was killed and dismembered January 7. The knife was found on the elevated railroad tracks by an inspector who turned it over to investigators last night when he learned a search was being made for such a weapon. '
