Robert; Taylor, to the United States after two years of imprisonment in a Japanese internment camp in Shanghai. . . Both Mr. Taylor's father and mother, who have served as missionaries in China, since 1912, returned to Shanghai early this year. x Arriving in Gothenburg, Sweden on August 20, the Taylors with the other American representatives will spend 18 .days in visits to educational institutions, industrial research ' laboratories, and manufacturing plants in Denmark, Sweden and Norway. Some of the cities in . the tour route are Gothenburg,. Malmo and Stockholm, .Sweden;. His general objectives in participating in the Scandinavian Research and Industry Tour are to observe industrial production and research facilities, programs and advancements in. the countries to be ..visited, to evaluate those pertinent subjects which can be used to advantage in the United States and particularly in the glass idustry, and to cooperate fully on non-confidential matters in a . free interchange of technology with the tour group itself and similar groups in the. countries to be visited. . Mr. . and ' Mrs. Taylor's three children, Beth, 7; David, 4; and Jeffrey, 2, will visit with their aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Wilson and family of Lexington, Kentucky, during the foreign tour. Mrs. Wilson is the former Helen Hill.
