The Batavia Company has been identified

cause he felt his usefulness to the firm had been impaired by recent publicity.

OPA REVIVAL WASHINGTON, July 26 The new price control law became effective immediately with President Truman's signature at 3:05 P. M., Central Daylight Time, to run until next June 30. All rent and price ceilings an other orders of the OPA which were ineffect June 30 were automatically restored except: 1. Ceilings on meat, poultry, eggs, dairy products, grain and feed, soybeans, cottonseed, petroleum and its products and tobacco and it products, and
2. The maximum average price order which required clothing manufacturers to turn out a certain proportion of cheap wear. The OPA will be required, however, to raise many of the ceilings within 6 days and to change some of its former practices. While major food items which make up restaurant and hotel meals would be free of celiings at least until Aug. 20, these meals
would be under ceilings. How
ever, the cost of dining out prob
ably mould be higher than it was
June 30 because an OPA regula- j
tion provides for basing the price of a meal on the actual cost of raw food. Restaurants could make these price adjustments without clearing through OPA.

These are days when prosperity seems to be just around the corner, if not at hand, when man swells his chest in lieu of self laurels. And yet the picture of the most terrible period of bloodshed in the history of the' world is not dim . . the ravages are still evident in the maimed bodies everywhere;
Where are the voices that cried out to a God of compassion, : mercy and justice? Where are the mothers who watched the mails with a prayer iii their hearts . . . the boys who found assured peace where the hell of war abound . . . where? Are these your neighbors . . . are these YOU? Then gather your neighbor and his family or yourself and your family and join in the worship of the Union Church Services. Join in the worship of a God who knew you in your sorrow, a God who also had a Gethsemahe ... a God who knows only one church HIS CHURCH his people. Each Sunday evening in the Sullivan City Park the barriers of church denomination are dropped and a united worship prevails. Your presence is required to make this service complete. Come! Lest I forget Gethsemane Lest I forget Dark Calvary Lest I forget thine agony Lead me to Calvary! PROGRAM ; Of Services Sunday, July 28th, 7:30 P. M.
