Horse Show At Dugger Is Success The Horse Show at Dugger on July 4th proved to be a big success with 81 ponies and horses from the various clubs throughout the county being represented. One of the highlights of tho day was the parade from the club grounds one mile south to town. Here they were met by two colorful bands who led the parade on through the business district. Several firms and organizations were represented with floats and first prize went to the Dugger Saddle Club with Yvonne Padgett driving; second, The Woodard Hardware; and third, Tom Wilson's ton wit'j pony float. On returning to the club grounds, the parade horses were lined ud in the center of the track with the tw0 flag-bearing n trmt t which time the American Legion received the flag. The pair horse winners of the parade were as follows: 1st, Dorin Drake and Dannie Pittman, Fairbanks; 2nd, John and Tom Springer, Sullivan; 3rd, Paul Hiatt and Iris Herndon, Dugger; 4th, Med and Wayne Anderson, Sullivan; 5th, Delphin Bedwell and Jerry Hale, DugSET. ' The show started at 1:00 p; m. C.S.T. with something new in the line of entertainment being give. Elisha Enochs delighted the spectators with some Roman style riding on Med Anderson's horse. Kenneth Barker of Dugger also showed what a little training did for his pony, Trigger, The judge for the show was G. O. Frazier, State Repr. of Marshall, Illinois and assisting him was Spencer, Ind. Leslie Hiatt, a local horseman, was ring master With Ivan Pinkston and Phillip Benefiled . acting as gatemen. Robert Wilson of Sullivan' was for the dav. Iris ,of the various events: Event No. 1.
