ROUGH ON CATS

THERMOPOLIS, Wyo. (UP)

for oayle Lewis, field superintendent of the Warm Springs oil field, seven miles east of here, its a matter of one cat after another literally. Lewis reports he can't keep any tomcats at the field. Bobcats in the area have been destroying the tomcats, and so far Lewis has lost three toms. LIFE ON THE RANGE

CODY, Wyo. (UP) Bud Pilcher, who operates a ranch near here, needed some aid so he could get his cattle ready for the summer range. So he hung out the old help flag for spring work. The quick response was gratifying. Among those who showed up to help were: a bartender, a printer, several oil field workers, rodeo hands, a photo worker and even a few housewives.

THERMOPOLIS, Wyo. (UP) Harley G. Murphy of Thermo-polis-figures ' he stands a good chance of repeating as Wyoming "Spinach King" this year. Murphy, who captured honors last year with a plant eight feet, six inches tall, reports his crop this year is "slightly ahead of last season."
