i chapter were held this past week-end, and were attended by
the sorority's national officers and representatives of middle western chapters and of the 300 aliimnae living in Indiana.

Building at the University, were followed by an installation banquet Saturday evening and a reception for 300 guests, including University officials, Sunday afternoon. Alpha Xi Delta, founded in 1893 at Lombard College, Illinois, is the seventeenth national sorority to establish a chapter at Indiana University. With the installation of the chapter it now has representation at all of the Big Ten universities and a total of 58 chapters at colleges and universities- . throughout the United States. Members present were invited to a long white table centered with a lovely . bouquet of red roses. Those who enjoyed the refreshments were Mesdamcs Southwood, Libke, Ray, Howe, Sevier, Kaiser, Sims, and the hostess, Mrs. Jared. The next meeting will be at the home of Goldie Ray on South Main Street, Monday, April 22, at 2:00 p. m. All are urged to attend this meeting. Royal Neighbors Regular meeting of the Royal Neighbors at the Woodman Hall Friday, April 19th at 7:30 p. m. Will every member of the degree staff please be present as there will be initiation.
Piano Recital Is Enjoyed
1 An interested audience greeted piano pupils of Lillian Dale Scott, Sunday afternoon at the Lillian Dale Scott Music Hall. The ushers, Mrs. John Braner, Mary Jane Brust, Leah Rae Morical, Barbara Lou Stark, Maxine Keenan, Shirley Fidler, Jo Ann Pinkerton and Joan Walters, were chosen from the class. The most outstanding numbers were "Miserere" and the "Anvil Chorus" from Verdi's "II Trovatore," Carolyn Hobbs at the first piano; "Tales from The Vienna Woods" by Johann Strauss, Clara Lee Houpt at the first piano, and Becky Schmidt in her excellent rendition of "The Scottish Highland Scene" by John Thompson. The pupils are given a vacation of three weeks each spring. The closing piano recital of the season will be given the latter part of May.
