Merom Community Night Community Night was unusuatly successful this month. The 50- i piece State Teachers orchestra of Terre Haute gave to the Merom audience practically the same Winter Concert program given at Terre Haute the previous week. Mr. Arthur Hill is the Director and is to be congratulated for having held together such an orchestra during the difficult war period. State College young people joined with Merom young people for an enjoyable recreation period previous to the concert. The- Sycamore Players of the College wiil furnish the entertainment for the next Community Night on March 7th. The Merom Legion basketball i team won in a fast and close game with Bloomfield Thursday j night at the local gym. The final score was 30-24. The second team lo;:t in an earlier game. Both games were well attended by the local community. i.Z,z. Gertrude Hammond is ( progressing at the Sullivan hos- i pital and hopes to be out of the ' hospital soon.
