NAZIS RULED OUT DECLARATIONS OF WAR The Nazi high command in 1938 decided that a "declaration of war is no longer necessarily the first step at the start of a war," top secret documents introduced before the international military tribunal at Nuernberg disclosed. Further, the German high command said, "the normal rules of war toward neutra nations may be considered to apply only on the basis of whether the operation of these rules will create greater advantages or disadvantages for the warring nations."

THE farm boy, with typical American inA genuity and a mechanical mind, dreamed of an cisisr, better way to do a tough farm job.
Later, he went to a uniyetsity and became an engineer. What mors natural than to apply that training to designing farm implements? That isn't a biographical sketch of any particular engineer ic acy of the Jeha Deere experimental departments. It could be the story of each all have had practical farm experience. They know the farmer's problems from his viewpoint. Added to the farm "know how" is the engineering knowledge of stresses, strains, and all the other technical knowledge required to build practical farming equipment. Put that farm knowledge and technical skill together, and you have a John Deere engineer, equipped to design farm implements that will make more money for the farmer that will do better work for a longer time at minimum cost The John Deere organization has thought in terms of the farmer for over a century. That deep-seated policy is one that a few years of war production, couldn't up-root, and one that can't be acquired overnight.
