Vincennes Team Scoots To 25-0 Victory Hers An alert Vincennes high school eleven trimmed Sullivan's Arrows 25 to 0 in a football game on windswept Sportland Field here Fiiday n-ht. The Arrows came through with a spirited battle despite their recent run of tough breaks but just couldn't connect on pay-off plays. A roaring north wind was a handicap to both teams throughout. Sullivan recovered a Vincennes fumble early in the game on their own 31-yard stripe, but the sturdy Alice line held and Lee Russell's punt was a beauty, traveling 54 yards to roll out on the 12-yard iine of the visitors. After piays Harwick punted into wind and Sullivan had the 0n vincennes' 28. Smith drove for a first down and Libke passed to Sevier, who was caught from behind on the Vincennes 9. One play netted a yard and the gun endsd the scoring bid. Vincennes' second score came in the third' period after Hudson broke off tackle to race about 60 yards before he was hauled down on Sullivan's six-yard stripe. The Alices were stopped eold for three plays but Sullivan was penalized to the one-yard line for roughness on the third down and Bowman powered his way over after being momentarily stopped two yards back of the line of scrimmage. The Arrows got within the Vincennes 20 one more time beef ore the game ended. The Arrows, with several stalwarts able to see only limited action, also played without the services of Max Cooley, powerful end who suffered a broken collar bone last week.
