This Morning's Headlines ': PUT iDOWN ANTI-JEW RIOTS Egyptian police had 999 terrorists under arrest following Friday.'s anti-Jewish riots in Cairo and Alexandria in which ten persons, were killed, 637 injured, synagogues and schools pillaged and 1,000-year-old scrolls of law burned in the. streets. Cairo and Alexandria were quiet after- police used force to auell the riots during which the mobs smashed and looted Jewish-owned stores.

12 MISSING .'IN PACIFIC PLANE CRASH, SAVE 3 ON CLIPPER Aircraft carriers joined in a search for 12 persons missing after an. Army transport piano made a, forced landing in the Pacific east of -Hawaii, killing at least seven of the 27 aboad. In the same general area a big Pan-American Airways' Honolulu Clipper en route to -San Francisco came, down with engine trouble but the 13 passengers and 10 crew members were taken aboard a baby flat-top and the plane was being towed back to Honolulu.
