The House veterans committee approved a liberalized GI bill of rights Wednesdaybut first stripped of a bonus provision which would have given each veteran $1,040. That proposal, sponsored by Committee Chairman. Rankin, Democrat, Mississippi, would have applied 'to every' discharged veteran regardless of whether he has a job. Under the present bill "unemployed veterans can get a $20 a week assistance for one year. The bonus plan can be brought, up later 33 a separate measure.
