Tom Connally, Democrat, Texas, and Arthur H. Vandenberg, Repubiican, Michigan, will open the battle for Senate ratification of the world security charter next Thursday, two days after the United Nations conference adjourns, it was disclosed. preceding Monday, when he became seriously ill and was taken to the" hospital in Riverside, Cali fornia. The Ridgeway family, natives of this vicinity, went to Riverside about thirty years ago. Mr. Ridgeway had served , as Court House Custodian for. many years at Riverside and had retired only last month. He , was born o.n Shaker Prairie and was the son of Benjamin W. and Mary Hoagland Ridgeway. He was a brother of Owen J Ridge way, who died in October, 1935. Mr. Ridgeway is survived by the wife,, by, a daughter, Gladys, and by five sens,. Virgil, Cecil, Clyde, Owen and John. Cecil is a Lieutenant (jg) in the i Navy and before his induction practiced dentistry in Long Beach, California. Mr. Ridgaway is also survived by several grandchildren and three half brothers.
