APPROVE INSURANCE BILL. The Senate judiciary committee approved unanimously a compromise bill covering the regulation of the insurance business. The action ended a long fight within the committee over a bill to exempt insurance companies entirely from regulation under the

federal anti-trust laws.

AUTO INSURANCE MEASURE FILED. A proposal requiring Hoosier motorists to have automobile accident insurance in order to obtain licenses for their cars was introduced Monday in the Indiana legislature. Senator John Gorias, Democrat, South Bend, introduced a resolution in which President Roosevelt would be "earnestly petitioned" by the General Assembly "to champion the right of small nations to be recognized as nations by having a representative of such nations present and taking part in the formulation of any peace proposal."

NORFOLK LOAFING BARED. A story of large-scale loafing, boondoggling and "appalling waste'' of material at the Norfolk Navy Yard was laid before the Senate by members of its war investigating committee. Talk of "prosecution" was heard in the Capitol c'ftcr Senators told of hundreds idle, of others engaged in making such things as hand-carved furniture, an ornate checkerboard, a dog house, a special oyster-shucking table 'and jewelry for their bosses or themselves.

Today's Horoscope A birthday today means that you have a forceful, commanding nature which inspires respect, but at the same 'time you are stubborn and wilful, wanting your own way most of the time. Nonetheless, you are well liked and have many friends. You are advised to cultivate generosity and a pirit of compromise. On this date keep your patience on tap or the Uranian rays may make you

run counter to good conduct. Take cognizance of interior as well as surface appearances, or your judgment may prove inaccurate.
