The marriage of Ross A. Houck, 28, and Miss Georgia H. Coberly, 22, was solemnized Sunday evening by J. K. Thompson, pastor of the First Presbyterian church. Mr. Houck is the popular deputy clerk of the district court and the bride lias been in the employ of the Indian agency as a stenographer. Both have a host of friends who wish them a long and happy life. Mr. Houck stole a march on his friends at the court house and managed so well that they did not learn of the wedding until Monday after the couple had taken the flyer for a visit with relatives of the groom In Indiana He had arranged with Boh Harris, a clerk of the county court, to meet him at the court house at 8 o'clock that night when all was quiet at the temple of justice and Mr. Harris issued the necessary license, promising to keep mum until after the couple had departed on their wedding trip.—Muskogee, Oklahoma Exchange.

Tiic fanners of this section of the I'ountry are making another kick on the weather man, declaring that conditions arc very bad for the -wheat which has been in the ground for some time. They say that if severe cold weather were to set in at present the chances for a. good crop would be very slim ns the cold nights prevent the wheat from getting the advanced growth it should have,be-

in' cold weather. The days have been quite favor- ; • ! but flic nights as a rule, have bi ' ii cold, and the fall wheat has only been allowed to start growing nicely. The farmers are hoping for a little more pleasant weather and warmer nights, and with that they ft el that the wheat crop will be fair.
