Professor and Mrs. Longden entertained at dinner Wednesday evening in honor of Professor Tombo of Columbia University. The guests were Professor Tombo. Mr. and Mrs. James Nelson, Professor Kleinsmid, and Professor Barnes. A. P. Sinclair, Trustee on the School Board for feeble minded youths, of Cloverdale has been In Fort Wayne since Monday looking
after the interest of the school. Mr. Sinclair was In the city this morning on his return home. Rev. and Mrs. J. N. Greene, of Brazil, were in the city Fri. morning, on their way to panville, where they will visit the former’s parents. The Transfer accomodated sixty guests during the evening not only by taking them to the places of entertainment but by taeir prompt ar-
rival.
Milford Mozlngo, George Wild and John W. Calvin, commissioners of Johnson county, were in the city Friday looking after crushed stone for 1 heir macadam roads. Prospects for purchasing the material. are very favorable, however the deal has not been closed. They left the city for their home In Franklin on the 2-15 car.
Guests to the number of twenty responded to invitations issued by Miss Ethel McDonald, to attend the Valentine party at her home on Madison street, Friday evening- \ arious games were played during the eyening, after which dellcioo* refreshments of three courses were served by the hostess. At a l aW hour the guests departed voting Miss Ethel a royal entertainer.
