RATE MATTERS ARE TAKEN UP
Relief is 4•rallied in Several Instances Where Excessive Rates Have Keeii Charged.
The railroad commission handed down decisions in three cases Wednesday one regulating demurrage conditions and involving a change in rules of the Indiana Car Service association; the second establishing the principle that railroads crossing each other shall establish physical connection between their respective tracks, even though the crossing is not at grade, and a third ordering that the wagon bridge over the Monon rall-
and pass through the
grand stand. At this point the track will be about 250 feet north of the center of the National road and it gets farther away as It goes east and closes In toward the National road as
it approaches this city.
Work on this end of the new traction line is progressing rapidly and considerable of the grade between | Harmony and Greeneastle lias already been completed. Three contractors are at work on this section of the line and they have a large number nf men employed Every effort is being made to complete the grade through the rough country in the Walnut and Croy creek bottoms before had weather set In and after Croy creek has keen crossed the company will have practically easy sailing Into Harmony and this city as very little grading will be necessary.
