The budget ordinance parsed by the council provides for a total of $0.971,0 50.78 for the city next, year, an increase of $651,:;st.jS over this year's budget. The track elevation levy was decreased 2.7 cents; the recreation department levy was decreased 1-2 cent, and the Hoa1 prevention sinking fund was decreased i-2 cent, making decreases of cents, thus making a net Increase of .".T cents. The council's action followed a long session, ending near midnight. A number of citizens and persons conne.-ted with the administration were present, but the' did not get to ;i,dget and levy items.
