She didn't tell it all, but
Her tongue curled and whipped out fire they were burning words forked flames touched his left ear and sizzled through his right ear. He hadn't done anything, but he wanted to do something his desire was great anxiety was written all over his face perspiration beaded his brow tears trickled close to his nose his only words in justification were feeble gasps. Most of what Mabel said to him was, "Oh, if I were a man!" and that which God had made into a form called "man" was silently praying within himself, "Lord, please change her quick " Another thing Mabel was talking about was why didn't her good-for-nothing husband make more money so he could pay for the big bills she had piled up on his credit.

Mabel said she needed a new dress several new gowns and that she needed a lot more things to go with her new gowns, and if she had just married somebody else somebody in fairyland, no doubt she would then have had a husband that could do a man's part bv a real woman like herself. While the hot words were burning and the poor man was suffering, the everyday bargains at PIGGLY WIGGLY were unnoticed by Mabel and money was lost every day because too much thought and time were spent thinking about more credit and how to pay the bills of credit. If Mabel would just trade more at PIGGLY WIGGLY and not tongue-lash her husband so much she would have more new dresses to wear which could be paid for out of her PIGGLY WIGGLY savings, and the husband might then appear to her as a STALWART AND COURAGEOUS MAN OF ADAM.
