In my judgment there Us little if any cause, for belief that there will be a recession form the advanced position already taken, for with the passage of the 19th amendment the women of the country crime into their long delayed rights of citizenship and at that moment there entered into the realm of our political life a force that alway.s be relied upon to exert itself on the right of every moral or social question. Beyond the peradventure of a doubt the women can be depended upon to support rigid law enforcement. "Among the mast .ubtle and deceptive of all the propaganda directed agninst the enforcement of the lSth amendment is the persistent cry that the law i unpopular and cannot be enforced; that it is being violated and therefore should be repealed. Nothing can be more fallacious than the .tatement that it should be repealed because it Is violated. "Ijlttie is to be feared from tho.e who ar positively hostile tc law enforcement.
