The world over -vnlh the coming of the summer season city folks plan for their "vacation.". Little Boys and Girls may be fortunrte enough to have "Grandpas" in the country or an "Uncle John's." Mothers may go to the "Lake" or the seaiide, while the tired business man may seek the mountains or the cool north woods. Anywhere away from the hurry and scurry and bustle and noise and the scorching heat of the cities pavements. And in the land of Doo it is the same. The Doo Dads from Dooviile go to a famous summer resort in the mountains. And there in a little park is a far-famed hostelry with the queer name of "Kum Inn," and the Doo Dads go in and cat ice cream and drink cool pink lemonade and sweet cider. And in the park there are tennis courts md a band stand and tables where they serve ices and drinks and just see what a perfectly wonderful time the Doo Dads are having. Old Doctor Sawbones is conducting the orchestra, there is only a bass viol and a piccolo and a saxophone, but you would never believe it would be possible for three little men to make so much noise. On the dancing stand round and round the merry dancers rped. That little chaj) with the saxophone has had his mouth all puckered by watching the little Doo Dad sucking the lemon. plump on top of the dish of ice cream. The other dancing Doo Dad has swung his partner so that her feet have left the smooth floor and struck the Doo Dad waiter and the ice cream he was carrying so carefully has none down the neck of the lady Doo Dad at the table. Poor old Flannelfeet is very much at a loss. He does not know whether he should arrest the dancers or consider the whole proceeding as a good joke. The little rascal in front with his rubber tube is getting his fill of sweet cider. He will probably drink it all if the dog do?s not give him away and then Old Man Grouch will be terribly annoyed and more likely "make a scene." Old Nicholas Nut has become a golf fan and is admired by all of tho lady Doo Dads. Roly has more .than met his match on the tennis courts the little lady opposite is the champion tennis player of the land of Doo tee how determined she looks and the other little lady with the camera is going to get a snapshot of Roly in that ridiculous position. He will bo peeved. The little lady in the speedster is doomed to disappointment. The car wouldn't go she was in a hurry she asked Sleepy Sam to fix it he crawled under the car he has gone to sleep and it will, in all likelihood, be next Saturday before she can start on her journey.
