Calories are units of measurement for the body heat supplied by the foods we eat. Butter contains an average of over 3600 calories per pound infinitely more than any other spread for bread.

Vitamines are so called because of the necessity of these elements in our food for normal growth and development, and for the prevention of ailments due to undernourishment. Butter contains the fat soluble vitamine, the vitamine most necessary to good health, and butter is the only food in which this vitamine can be found.
