Fight in Court for Dog's Life

Dick, mastiff pet of Jake Silverman, Russian, was condemned to death at Lansdale, PA., because under Pennsylvania law an alien may not posess a dog. Moved by Silverman's affection for the animal, Samuel Conver, attorney, took the matter into court. Now Dick will

be a ward of the S. P. C. A. until Silverman gets citizenship papers.
