POLICE INVESTIGATING WAYERLY LAKE DEATH VALPARAISO. Ind., June 0. Police Friday were m nking an investigation into the df.ah of a young man whose charred body was found on the Lake Michigan beach near Waverly Beach here Thursday afternoon. The dead man appeared to be about 30 years old, it was said. Malcomh Simmons of Chicago discovered the body, badly burned and resting on a pile of ashes. A rifle was found between the legs of the deceased. Indications were that every precaution had been taken to hide the identity of the man, according to the police. The only pieces of paper found on the scene were two sales Kips, from a Chicago store dated May 20.
