Building costs have come down and they have come way down. There have been reductions in the cost of lpuilding materials, of labor, and of various building services. These conditions exist in all parts of the United States, which goes to prove that normal building conditions are here again. It is very plain that so many people would not be building now unless conditions were right for it. There has been a scarcity of money for many months and the same people who were waiting for the "turn" in economic conditions who played the safest with investments ans they who are now having the building done for them. When level-headed business men, conservative bankers, economical home owners start to building there is every assurance that times are right for building work.

Not only are prices favorable for building this time of the year, but money is cheap. Your banker will be more willing to see you through than he was a year ago. Realtors in South Bend have their facts on straight when they say that conditions are now ripe for the greatest building age which the community has had for many, many years.

If you happen to be a renter you can make a substantial reduction in your expenses by starting to build a home now, using your rent money to pay your monthly payments if you do not have the money to pay for the entire house at once. I would put up good buildings at the low prices now being asked and I would hold on to those buildings, rent them out, and make money.
